Diving in Cancun

Somewhere between Cancun and Isla Mujeres lays one of the most exciting dive sites in the area: the C-55 Shipwreck. This minesweeper was built for the US Navy during World War II. In the year 2000 it was intentionally sunk by the Mexican Government in an effort to create an alternative dive site and to provide relief for the reefs of the National Park. Nowadays this beautiful shipwreck rests at a depth of 80 ft. (25 mts) and is home to many schools of fishes, among which barracudas, angel fish, groupers, snappers, eagle rays and moray eels.

For our second dive we’ll explore one of the many beautiful ‘underwater gardens’ that Cancun has to offer.
