We depart early to enjoy the island all by ourselves, before other boats arrive. This is your chance to take in the breathtaking nature and snap some stunning photos on the beach. As an added bonus: sargassum seaweed rarely washes ashore on Isla Contoy, so the beach is always beautiful.
Enjoy paradise to the fullest
Isla Contoy is a nature lover’s dream, home to over 150 bird species including frigatebirds, ospreys, and pelicans. Along the coastline, you might spot some bright colored starfish, stingrays, and even sea turtles. We’ll take you on a guided exploration of the island, with incredible views through dunes and mangroves. Meanwhile, our crew will prepare a fresh lunch for us on the beach: grilled fish, chicken, rice, and guacamole. Enjoy it with your feet in the sand and a view of the dazzling blue sea.
On the way back, we’ll stop at the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second-largest coral reef in the world. Here, you can snorkel among colorful fish—and with some luck, we may spot a nurse shark or a sea turtle. To top off the day, we’ll anchor at the world-famous Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres, where you can relax in crystal-clear water with a refreshing drink in your hand.

The price of this excursion depends on the number of participants: the more people share the cost, the more affordable the tour becomes. To keep the experience personal and enjoyable, and to ensure the highest quality, we limit our shared tours to a maximum of 12 guests.

Protect Paradise
Isla Contoy is a protected nature reserve and national park, which means strict rules are in place to preserve its fragile ecosystem:
Sunscreen is not allowed. We recommend wearing swim shirts/rash guards or light, protective clothing, and bringing a hat or cap. It's forbidden to take shells or plants from the island. Smoking and vaping are not permitted on the island or on the boat. Drones and music are also prohibited to maintain peace for both wildlife and fellow visitors.
